The Living Street
One street, present tense.
Street view, as the world knows it, is a photograph — a place frozen the day the car drove by. This street is drawn from its record: a chain of events, each one hashed into the next. As an event lands, the street changes. Touch any change and the street shows you the event that made it.

Meridian Row does not exist, and this day did not happen. The street is demonstration data, labeled as such — the mechanism is the real thing being shown: a place rendered from a record that anyone can recompute.

The Record
The chain, growing
Every change on the street above is one of these, and each one names the event before it. Select a row — or touch the street — and the event answers for itself.

Let the day run, then touch a lit window, a new sign, a ring on the ground — or pick a row in the record.

What the record suggests
Patterns are computed from the chain as it grows — and they stay in this panel, at their grade. A pattern is never painted onto the street as if it were an event. The street shows what happened; this panel shows what what-happened suggests.
Nothing to learn from yet — the day has not begun.
Privacy, Stated Plainly
There are no people on this street
Not blurred people. Not hidden people. Absent people — because the record this street is drawn from never held any.
An event on a living street is a small, plain thing: a time, a named place, a kind of happening, a short note. That is the whole of it. There is no field in the record for a person — no name, no face, no voice, nothing that could point at a neighbor. It is not that the street is careful with your details; it is that the record has nowhere to put them.
This page asks for nothing, either: no camera, no microphone, no account. It reads one record file, draws what the record proves, and sends nothing anywhere. And if anyone ever rewrote the record — changed a note, moved an event — the chain would stop recomputing at exactly that link, and the street would refuse to draw past the break rather than show you a past that was edited in private.
